                     Mine Alone

Never evading my ambient thought
Speak not our caress was all for naught
Your presence this morn consumed my soul
Fill your loneliness that is a black hole

A lewd lucid dream was not our embrace
I know our true love is but with disgrace
It’s your missus who sent me away; not you
Like the Snake to Eve, she speaks of me untrue

Only you and the forest fathom my game
I well know the worth of your good name
Beware that my devious deeds rest unknown
May that drab woman die, so your mine alone
