  Maine Woods Autumn

    ('Appalachian trail'
      impression)

Milky-river rapids,
chaos in tumult
down staircase-granite
  ledges.

Under a deep-azurine
  sky,
flaming Fall foliage
embraces all
in Autumn’s song!

You have captured the picture of the promise of Maine woods in autumn.
Loved this.

Thank you, Bruce, for this autumn painting and orchestral work, making your corner of America come alive in far-off South Africa.

Even when describing temporary scenes or images, your poetry carries a ring of eternity. Nature's neverending reign or something. Very powerful!
