What was she wearing?
What did that scent
Do to steal the silence
As I disguised it.

Could it be,
That she was her,
With a lip so still,
She felt the crowd’s words
Run with the bouquet
Of the movements of her face.

Was she the one that
Wore a white pebble dress
As her legs crossed
Underneath its risen template?

As I move with
The black suede steel night,
As it bends,
Where the streets stretch,
Crossed between the empty rooms
And faceless stores,

I can feel her imagine
A stretch of gravel,
Split along the rivers wake,

Chattering among the rosemary wind.
