The rhythm of the blues,
The cherry wood tables
Keeping their tops heavy,
With the glass slim bottles staged around
The audience’s cusped hands.

The slew of bartenders
Flashing their skin,
Their arms on an island
With their legs underneath
Their unbridled eyes.

The alley sits staring,
The room so dark,
Where Charlie holds his trumpet,
Its gold wrap tans the clubs shadow,

Right off the corner,
Through the easy spilled late hour blues.

Beautiful!

I could feel the atmosphere of the Blues!
