It's time to let you go my friend
It's time to say goodbye
Don't think I don't love you
Please don't wonder why

We should have left it as it was
Instead of talking on the phone
I'm sorry for the inconvenience
of blowing your ear so

I'll keep you in my prayers
You'll be in my thoughts too
I hope you have a nice life
lord knows I really do

It was fun remembering
It was good to hear your voice
I think we need to let it go
I think we have no choice

They say "You made Your Bed
So lay down in it slow"
I say you've got your future
Where your past just shouldn't go

The only obligation here
Is the promise that you carry
Don't let this affect that
No more regrets for you old weary

You have clarity and you are also generous.

Well written piece.

I wonder what inspired a poem like that. Your words really do make it sound like true friendship, beautiful.

Spunky,

I felt this deep down inside! Your poem says it all...saying goodbye although sometimes is the right thing, it hurts like hell. Ahhhhh bittersweet. I know a thing or two about that.

Take care,

Amy

This is a very good poem and it reminds me maybe too much of past experiences. I hope to see more great poetry like this.
