The human mind is a garden
planted with images
brought forth from the senses,
the dream state,
memories...
images of darkness,
images of light,
images of worlds past
and worlds future,
giving new understanding of life,
nourishing the greater self.

These roots of ancient herbs,
embed themselves in the soil
of one’s daily experience,
each instant bringing forth
the face of the eternal self.

A wakeup call! Your poem is a beautiful example of itself, a glimpse of eternity/wisdom.

Oh, yes, the mind is quite the repository! And it is into this well of images and past experiences, that a poet dips his quill.

I enjoyed your thoughts this evening.
