Oh Lawsy Miss Margie--I have seen that face so many times.

Despair makes kin of us when we forget that we are, actually, ONE.

Thank you lovie, for this'n.

Sure, there's always the shoulda, coulda, wouldas, but there were many happy, wonderful, unforgetable, treasured memories of days gone by, too.  Sadly, we even rue the fact that the good times are behind us, instead of being thankful we experienced them.  Thanks for jogging me to think about this, Marge.

Yes, Marge, so very true.  One day we may learn to live so that there are never any regrets.

There are many stories to be told by the look in his reflective eyes. ~ and you have given us a glimpse of what they might be.

Another gem of a post, MT.

Lady,
it seems you and I are in a similar place but your write is so much more eloquent than mine could ever be. *HuGS through cyberspace.

Simple but profound and so true. Sometimes I will be thinking of something that happened in the past or something about the family history and wish I could ask my mother about it (She was always telling family stories) and I wish I would have listened more. Now it's too late.

Margie girl, sweetest poetic writer of remembrances, this is beautiful, although that is always a given as you write the most picturesque poems ever. I love this it is truly outstanding.

My dearest Marge ... this brought tears to both Ron and I. We spent the day with his 93 year young mother at Sophie's 1 year young birthday party over the weekend. The contrast was striking and spending time with Grammy is so very precious to us. She gets frailer by the moment and we treasure what time is left.

huggles, Marti

Friends~
I so warmly welcome your replies to this piece~
Someone sent me the photo in a PowerPoint presentation ... and when I saw the look of desolation in the man's eyes ... it just wrote itself~
