  Autumn Impression

October morning…
tentative sunrise.

Scattered hills
wrapped in pensive mist
and frosted-rainbow
  leaves.

Forest trembling
with the thought
  of Winter.

Peaceful quietude…
fireside serenity.

All of Life
awaiting change!

I'm guilty of not responding to all of your poems but I do read them all and now have a chance to tell you that I thoroughly enjoy them.

"All of Life
awaiting change!"

Yep - I reckon now more than ever.

"Scattered hills

and frosted-rainbow
  leaves."

This is my favorite stanza in this very beautiful poem.  You have a great talent.

thanks for sharing,

"tentative sunrise"
This image reminded me of my first sunrise in the interior of Alaska, where the sun never seemed to climb high enough in the sky.
I wanted to push it up a bit.

The transition and attenuation of this special time of year are captured in this poem. This season of pause before winter -- you articulate the pause brilliantly through the images presented.
