      FOREVER AVALON

Vivienne of the fairy folk,
Wrapped in her scarlet cloak,
Surveys the glory of the dawn
That breaks o'er fabled Avalon.

As the jeweled splendor of the sun's first rays
Sweep the mystic night away,
The outer world may yet behold
This precious gift from the Gods of old.

At Vivienne's command,
The mists will shroud her magic land,
Concealing the dream of Avalon
From the dreary world that lies beyond.

This holy, druid isle
Set in the azure sea
Forever held apart
From the realm of pale reality.

Fantastic and a joy to read, dear Ida. I read the book "Le nebbie di Avalon", my daughter loves those stories and I discovered that I loved them too ...

Love,
Margherita

Thank you Margherita,
Did you ever read "The Mists of Avalon", If you haven't I recommend it. It seems some people love fantasy subjects and some don't like them at all. I love the King Arthur legends and that type of reading.

Thank you, Romantic Heart, I like the magical and mystical, too. Comes from my Irish soul, I guess.

"The mists of Avalon" is exactly "Le nebbie di Avalon" (in Italian).
Again, this is beautiful.

superb 'write'!

As one of Celtic ancestry, I couldn't help but love it!

I am especially fond of:

"This holy, druid isle
Set in the azure sea
Forever held apart
From the realm of pale reality(!)"

most serious, long-sustained applause!!
