.

This morning
A small gray squirrel
With a large pine cone
Scampered under the parked cars

The leaves in mid September
Have begun to show a tint of change
There’s already an autumn chill
In the misty air

I saw the first flights of geese
Going South  There are fewer ducks
As well along the shore

Coats and jackets
Are coming out
Just a little passing note

I miss you all the time

John~
You paint the coming Autumn then punch the ending so poignantly~

Admirable, sir~
