there were the mystery trees
with handles for lovers
when they fall into a sky

lest they don't return from love
and become the stars relations
helpless to be more than dreams

that are dreamed by voyeurs
looking up the hems of heaven
with cold fingers craving heat

and the heat of craving redemption

of sandy dunes that laid
behind the hill
before you reached
an ocean
where Spanish Moss
tickled the ground

when beach boys
made memories
of innocence and smiles.
