September leaf,
you cling to what was,
a reminder of mortality,
holding onto your green.
I know this fading.

Everything betrays us –
even the sun.

Even in this fading, although I dred the impending cold... In those changing colours I can always find that warming red, hmmmmm that one colour has inspired me so.
There is something so sweet that it brings to this dance.

A somber write sweet poet.

Hi, Corinne! I have missed your pennings ~ and your presence ~ at pip.

This is a sweetly, melancholic write which I found myself whispering on the second read-through.

Giving you a loving hug,

Linda

Jwesley,

Thank you!

Park, Park, Park,

You are still quite the flirt, I see! haha, I would be disappointed if you weren't! How is life treating you? Well, I hope!

Linda,

I have missed posting here. You know, life overtakes and before you know it, you've stopped posting and writing poetry. Thank you for the warm hug! Back at ya!

Dear Marge,

Wanted to say that I love your new picture! Well, it's probably not new but it's new to me! Thank you for the warm welcome back, dear lady!

Its hard not to flirt with the core...
Life is fine, not writing much but I peek in often to quietly read. You haven't posted much, I hope everything is well with you too.

Oh, does this hit hard...
but there you are...brevity confined
in the best scope

while I ramble.

Well, dearheart, it is so good to read you
again!!!

Park, it's always good to talk to you, like no time has passed!

Sekishu, thank you. Yes, it's a very friendly site. Very supportive.

Sunshine, how are you, dear lady? How are the book sales going? This is not one of my favorite poems but haven't been writing much lately so just looked for one that would "do" for now, heh.

Alison,

Thank you!

Hi Corinne...It's really good to see you. I enjoyed reading your thoughts in poetic form, as always.  Autumn is full of giving and taking and because of the changing, is my favorite time of year.

Came back to read again
since it was bumped back up
by our flower girl...

sales have slowed, but so has the author!
But I'm satisfied...very much so, with
the overall response.  I'm always surprised
by those who have read it...I would have
never guessed!

And then my muse went on haitus...
go figure!

This is so true, so agonizingly true....and beautifully written, spare, clean and poignant.

Martie -- hi there! This is so much fun, like running into old friends at a cafe or something! Have missed reading your lovely poems. I remember that you capture the seasons here so very well.

Sunshine -- The most important (and impressive) thing is that you did it. You finished the book and published it. Most of us start but never finish.

Thank you James!

Ratleader, thank you kindly!
