Your eyes sparkle like the stars illuminating the dark sky at night
They glisten, radiating warmth like the sun.
I watch as you laugh at a funny story I tell
Your laugh is strong and draws me in
As the tide draws a wave to the shore.
My heart flutters as a butterfly taking flight
When our fingers brush as soft as silk
The rest of the world fades into an image
A blurred photograph,
I can’t see background scenes ,though I know they are there,
But you are the front image, crystal clear!
