Bonjour... I have just returned from a month in France and spent time in my beloved Paris... here is a short collection of some words I wrote about Paris and the people I met there.. I hope you enjoy them..'

PARIS
Paris is a feeling
This I know too well
It stays with you
It lingers close
It's there when day breaks thru
The people are its essence
They are proud and warm and free
They always say 'bonjour'
And I'm pleased they let me be 'me'...

PARIS - MY PARIS
My thoughts for you remain the same
Each time I return
I find you more beautiful than before
Each time I leave
I offer a piece of my heart
For you to keep safe until
I see you again
Stay well fair maiden
and continue to be the city of light
shining brightly for your patrons...

MILOUD
Miloud sits at the bar
He has warm eyes and a soft smile
His quietness is appealing as he sips his cafe
And smokes his cigarettes
I think he has a sadness in him
that seeps out thru his eyes 'parfois'
And 'parfois' I think he knows I see this...

(parfois = sometimes)

MUSTAPHA
I have a friend called Mustapha
Though he prefers just 'Mus'
His heart seems filled with gladness
And he likes to eat CousCous
His patrons just adore him
For his kind and caring ways
He is helpful and respectful
And greets them warmly each day
He has 'tres beau yeux'
That sparkle with his smile
And I'm hoping he will be my friend
For a long while...

(tres beau yeux = very nice eyes)

SAID (Saeed)
Said is strong and silent
He very rarely smiles
But when he does
Your day becomes brighter
And you go about with his smile
Planted firmly in your mind...

Be kind at heart....for everyone you meet has their own battle to fight.........

absolutely a grand, lovely-fine write!

[I'm sure you have experienced those grand
moments when the Parisian light is that
  marvelous rose color?!]

light falling on surfaces...what painting, of course, is all about...
but, also what leaves the quintessential 'lasting impressions' of
places in time...in our memories (and, what I also try to capture in
that geologic/travel series of 'writes' I have been adding to on occasion)

serious, sustained applause for this 'write'!

R & B...enjoyed your french pleasure.

would be fun to take you down one of the dirt roads of the sierra's sometime...the trees have names and personalities..but it the lonely of the roads that moan their music.
