well attested
trees
        undressing
charms a
        now wounded warrior
twas sweet
        of tune
once in
        june & july
ardent or’
       dark blue waters
like curious
       lights that warmed
a lover’s kiss
        forever lost
forever lost
        through
               cooling
                       eyes
of gentle visions
enchanting
stringed
pinnacle
until the
last
brilliant sky
shown final...

darling sages
silent tunes
reaching out
sweet melodies
sound of calm waves
on
an endless beach
I weep
amd weep
now for solitude
cloaked
by night tears
swallowing
what seems
for the first time
a cold sea
and
       thoughts
                 thoughts of you

ignites a pulse within

one darling sage

restless

smooth

tune of thought
tis
charming passion
jeweled
and
firm
like
the
last
rose of summer
breathing
deeply
under my skin
where shadows call
                    wondrous
knowing the losses

you recite
your own love songs
that come back
to find
you
melodic sonnets
of twilight summers
inquire the chorus
of gentle winds
even
hewn
peaceful whispers
find their way
sweet murmurs
lay across
emerald stone
scattering
throughts of
a final kiss

to nowhere

and somewhere

in veil of sighs
promise
that lives within
crystalline prose of pen
whispering love

once again
my love
you touch
my redened hair
embrace
my breast
as if
yours

from that dear
lovely emotion
you brave
a soul’s embrace
finding peace
no other life hath
known

or’ thunderous echoes
in granite halls
in a place
deeply  hidden
within our souls

don't let go

...alas, though I've never grasped with any save my heart, it has never let you go, dear friend - never since day-1, a while ago.

And the heart - my heart, never lets go.

Lee, I was so happy to see that you had posted a poem this evening!

Every single mot was alluring and sensual. I adored each line! I enjoy all sides to your writing talent!

Giving you a huge appreciative HUG of love,

Linda
P.S. That Celtic music certainly stirred my Celtic blood!

Amazing write, Lee J.

Love the Celtic music especially Scarborough Fair, Somewhere Over The Rainbow, and of course Danny Boy Ireland.
You PIPed-up my evening…

interesting ‘write’!

Wonderful title!

I am especially fond of such
fine word-painted imagery as:

“thunderous echoes
  in granite halls
  in a place
  deeply  hidden
  within our souls”;

“silent tunes
  reaching out
  sweet melodies
  sound of calm waves
  on
  an endless beach”;

AND:

“peaceful whispers
  find their way
  sweet murmurs
  lay across
  emerald stone
  scattering
  thoughts of
  a final kiss(!)”

Applause!!

Yes, yes, yes...
you sit the fringe of
her skirts
and twirl, and swirl
and listen
to the wind...
and you dance,
oh you dance
and words almost
do you justice,
but you wring them
just so
and you become more
than words...

you tswirl....

Lee

Most excellent, beautiful and a joy to read - words falling like smooth drops of water.  Beautiful.

LeeJ - I always enjoy trailing down your words - exquisite words - and the music was pretty awesome too.

your poems, dear LeeJ, always capture me with their incredible intensity, this one too.
You wrap the reader in the emotion of words found deep within.

"once again
my love
you touch
my redened hair
embrace
my breast
as if
yours"

and once again LeeJ
you capture the eye and the heart with
your extraodinary words

and the title is extravagant!
