The million words you throw at me
The million thoughts you think of me
Cautioning
Warning me
But I went out on that limb
Went out to the very end
And nearly caught a line or two
Nearly found a thought of you
Plummeting
Tumble me

There was a dress that you wore
A vision in white
Cotton clean and long as night

There was a song that you would sing
And I believed
We could be anything
Anywhere in ivory

You were a vision in the sand
Water kissing feet, forming tender rings
Round your hands
Surrendering

Writing your name on passing waves
Loosing you on a breath of wind
Distant memories becoming pages turned
Ink fades to white
Day to night

I’m waiting

Some women are worth going "out on a limb" for.
She apparently was ~ and hopefully, will be again!

Lovely write, Robert.
