You lick your lips,
taste the karma.
Like when icing sugar turns to water
and trickles down your chin
leaving a sticky reminder of what's been.
You lick your lips,
taste the karma.
Like a pair of cookie cutter fingers
etching out the wrong.
Your nights together last too long.
You lick your lips,
taste the karma.
A sweet malicious venom turning back the time,
A slaved at apple pie burnt right down the line.
Guilty tricks taste so sweet
Karma's come and licked your treat.

I'm a little rusty.

Welcome back! I enjoyed your icing metaphor, and hope to read more from you! Rusty? Well, some must rust more gracefully than others then, for I think you have much talent!
