From deepest blue
To green the sea comes in
To wash white foamed
Along the shore

It is the rhythm of the waves
That the heart listens to
Its gentle rocking of the core

There are some vital things
That can not be said in words
Yet one understands
What it is he’s being told

When even silence
Can have if allowed
Its significance

As the wind turns cold
And the first leaf goes
