going postal in the coastal
would be easy as dandruff
if it were not 3am empty
sleeveless in it's magic

I can count the black trees
on the other side of quiet
distant as the wolves in jaguars
that worship the womb jewels

never pushed from mother's tombs
only pistoned in their liquor
and washed down the drains
like the soapy spit of windows

after poetry became heathen
