In your dreams

0 posted 2007-09-11 11:56 AM

This my 9/11 poem

Of  Dreams

Children don’t have to grow up
Which gives them time to dream on

I envy them a little
I wish I had an excuse
To close my eye lids and dream

Unaware of the dark night
I could take security
In a sea of satin sheets

To be removed from this world
A life in a better world:
without cruel people and death,
And false lovers breaking hearts….
But a world where we accept,
What we cant control is good

I’d kill for a gentle soul
Who doesn’t want to change me
That's what is wrong in this world
But then again its human...

If we could dream forever
Then we would remain children
It’s unfortunate, the truth
Bad things happen so we grow…

-Juju

-"So you found a girl
Who thinks really deep thougts
What's so amazing about really deep thoughts " Silent all these Years, Tori Amos

~ A thought-provoking close to this fine write.

Dream on, Dear juju!

Provocative write, Milady.
Without dreams, life is tragicaly diminished,
a parody of itself. Even if the dreams
    never fully materialize, the striving
    is what matters.

      Thank you for sharing.

Your poem gave me permission to dream even though I am a senior; thank you.

9-11 was some shock to all of us.  I remember the day I saw it on TV. I stood frozen for like 5 minutes. doing nothing and just staring.  I don't like it when people do things like that.  all they bring is pain, tragedies, and loss.

Killing the innocence of purity and revealing the side of darkness which we forget most of the time.

I Love Peace!
