Hello everyone...a simple and perhaps not too strong work...but I am getting there.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I had to know
if I could still compose myself
let me
out of a self imposed cage again
and rub my newfound strength
in the faces
of all the enemies I had.
So a few bad years took me away
buried the words
hid myself from me
so that I would learn too much
to rely on someone else.
Am I blind?
Are my hands curled permentantly
into the shape of hands
that were forever holding bars
shaking them
while crying for someone to let me out
when they had hidden the key
cruelly
within my reach?
I've never been able to write
if I didn't know who I was
so I quit for a while
and searched
in circles
because I had lost my world
in some proud dictator's heart.
I had to know
if I could still compose
and I can
so some part must be marching again.
Each attempt
is a little stronger.
And yes
I can still compose myself.
I think she's having a meltdown..."
I understand...although the dictator sometimes is a way of life and not a person~~
good to read you again and yes, you still  "have it"
What can make us who we are?
Is it our weaknesses or strengths, fear of failure, or confidence dependent on others such as a dictator?
