Dark side of the Moon.

A crown of sonnets or sonnet corona is a sequence of sonnets usually addressed to some one person, and/or concerned with a single theme.  Each of the sonnets explores one aspect of the theme, and is linked to the preceding and succeeding sonnets by repeating the final line of the preceding sonnet as its first line, and by having its final line be the first line of the succeeding sonnet. With seven sonnets, the first line of the first sonnet is repeated as the final line of the final sonnet, thereby bringing the sequence to a close. This Crown of Sonnets, is dedicated and presented to someone very special. Seven facets of a precious gem reflecting the glow in my heart.

            "The Glory"
         (Crown of Sonnets #7)

We love each other near or far apart,
no matter how impossible it seems.
Forever, soul to soul and heart to heart,
wherever songs are sung and dreamers dream.

Where gardens bloom with jasmine in the spring
and lilac love of Wedgwood blue is there,
our hearts will meld and souls begin to sing
while fragrant love bouquets will fill the air.

We dance beneath the moon and starlit skies
while breathing in the air that is so sweet.
The happiness reflected in our eyes,
she is my Queen of hearts, I am complete.

In regal glory, splendor to behold
a Princess most divine like days of old.

~ My favourite scents and my favourite colour!

This was a brilliantly shining jewel with which to top your crown of sonnets!

Kenneth, you reign supreme and are in fine poetic form.

Giving you a warm, appreciative hug,

all that is needed in such a garden
is an oaken rocker
a head resting on a shoulder
a word whipered in an ear

the jasmine smells so sweet
as it drifts past

and this is perfect Kenneth

Awesome work, MoonShadow, I have followed your sequence from the beginning. I do think, however, this last one (#7) is your best.

There is only one small suggestion I would like to make:

1st stanza: "..impossible it seems"...change to "...impossible may seem"...thus achieving rhyme with "dream", while retaining (I believe) the meaning of the second line.

The choice is yours - your sonnet.

Again, great work, and inspiration to me as well.

Cheers,

CG

When I read the first one I decided to wait until all had been posted and what a worthwhile wait.  From 1 to 7 they are all wonderful reads for the romantic in me.  You have been well inspired!
