A crown of sonnets or sonnet corona is a sequence of sonnets usually addressed to some one person, and/or concerned with a single theme.  Each of the sonnets explores one aspect of the theme, and is linked to the preceding and succeeding sonnets by repeating the final line of the preceding sonnet as its first line, and by having its final line be the first line of the succeeding sonnet. With seven sonnets, the first line of the first sonnet is repeated as the final line of the final sonnet, thereby bringing the sequence to a close. This Crown of Sonnets, is dedicated and presented to someone very special. Seven facets of a precious gem reflecting the glow in my heart.

           "The Lover"
        (Crown of Sonnets #6)

My precious loving soulmate makes me whole,
fulfills my every need and my desire.
She stirs the fires of passion in my soul
and fans the flames till they can go no higher.

Together unrestrained in lovers’ dance
to music of our hearts in harmony,
we revel in the joys of sweet romance
while giving and receiving sensually.

No greater joy than sharing gifts of love
could ever melt my heart and make it glow
the way she lifts us up to heights above
to fly among the clouds and drift down slow.

As lovers, soul to soul and heart to heart,
we love each other near or far apart.

Just so, true love gives this feeling of closeness even at distance.

I don't want to read the last one .. because I don't want the magic to end.

All of you dear friends…
My grateful appreciation to all of you kindred spirits
who so graciously responded to the “Crown of Sonnets”.
The aura of your glow warmed my soul and your kind words
of encouragement touched upon my heart.
This humble poet thanks you most sincerely.
