A crown of sonnets or sonnet corona is a sequence of sonnets usually addressed to some one person, and/or concerned with a single theme.  Each of the sonnets explores one aspect of the theme, and is linked to the preceding and succeeding sonnets by repeating the final line of the preceding sonnet as its first line, and by having its final line be the first line of the succeeding sonnet. With seven sonnets, the first line of the first sonnet is repeated as the final line of the final sonnet, thereby bringing the sequence to a close. This Crown of Sonnets, is dedicated and presented to someone very special. Seven facets of a precious gem reflecting the glow in my heart.

          "The Soulmate"
        (Crown of Sonnets #5)

The comfort of her love makes me rejoice
and knowing her has set my soul at rest.
My heart leaps at the music of her voice.
As part of me, I know she is my best.

I feel her gentle soul combined with mine.
They curl together, fit so perfectly.
Both shaped by loving hands that are divine
and destined for each other, her and me.

To feel, to love, to dream and share as one,
these kindred spirits join in more than love.
Once bound together ne’er to be undone,
loving soulmates blessed by all above.

I’m blessed with countless treasures yet untold.
My precious loving soulmate makes me whole.

I have followed this entire series and am enjoying your artistry and the intend with which they are being written. I love the last line being used as the first line in each sequential poem.   Very nicely done Kenneth, and very much enjoyed.

I know we are nearing the seventh - and I don't want to go there.  I want to wake up to this beauty every morning.  You are totally spoiling me.

Thank you for making my morning a bit more magical.

I have been appreciating each poetic pearl that you have been stringing together in this "crown of sonnets" necklace.

Not only do I admire your poetic prowess, but I am touched by the loving spirit of the poet, as well!

All of you dear friends…
My grateful appreciation to all of you kindred spirits
