A crown of sonnets or sonnet corona is a sequence of sonnets usually addressed to some one person, and/or concerned with a single theme.  Each of the sonnets explores one aspect of the theme, and is linked to the preceding and succeeding sonnets by repeating the final line of the preceding sonnet as its first line, and by having its final line be the first line of the succeeding sonnet. With seven sonnets, the first line of the first sonnet is repeated as the final line of the final sonnet, thereby bringing the sequence to a close. This Crown of Sonnets, is dedicated and presented to someone very special. Seven facets of a precious gem reflecting the glow in my heart.

                “The Dreamer”
             (Crown of Sonnets #3)

Her loving gentle heart restores my faith,
and lets me dream of things that might have been.
To see the smile that lights her lovely face,
gives me strength and hope to dream again.

And dream we must to share the lovely art
with kindred spirits searching there to find,
that wishes form and trickle from the heart
to weave a tapestry into the mind.

I dream today, encouraged by her love
that tells me it’s alright to wish that way.
I free my spirit, soar on wings above,
while phantoms of the mind enjoy their play.

Then when the lovely dreams have done their part,
I thank my soulmate friend with all my heart.

All of you dear friends…
My grateful appreciation to all of you kindred spirits
