Return To Clay Mountain

Loved ones came from miles around
to see my earthly body placed into the ground.

"And the Lord God formed man out of the dust
of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils,
the breath of life; and man became a living being."
Genesis2:7

They all have nice thoughts and words to say
about a loved one that was taken away.

"In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread
til you return to the ground, for out of it
you were taken; for dust you are, and to dust
you shall return."...Genesis3:19

No finer resting place for an earthly body
shall be found than Clay Mountain six feet down.

"Therefore we are always confident, knowing that
while we are at home in the body we are absent
from the Lord.  For we walk by faith, not by sight.
We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be
absent from the body and to be present with the
Lord."...2Corinthians5:6-8

Over me the most precious oak tree
reaching into the sky towards the Heavenly.

I liked the way you combined your thoughts with scripture in this, James.   ...jo
