It’s me you’re looking for
when searching for that dream
maddeningly disjointed
on recall’s periphery.

It’s me you’re looking for
when moonbeams strike the memory
of midnight’s haunting hour
and lift the chant of love
twelve sad and lonely times.

It’s me you’re looking for
when morning breaks the spirit
and quells the flash of insight
into the wonderful.

It’s me you’re looking for
when passion speeds desire
from the mind to body parts
in the solitude of need.

It’s me!

I really enjoyed your concept here Helen. I love the thought of someone not knowing "who" they are dreaming or thinking of, and how you portrayed this. Nicely penned!

Best wishes,
/Kit

Insightful and poignant and yes also brilliant!

You speak out this truth that needs to be heard.

Thanks everyone.  It seems to me that a truth that should be heard never is - just the way of the world I suppose but to not know who we're dreaming of is perhaps akin to a crime.

Yep, Linda - you got that one right!  Well, that's what I keep telling myself at any rate but who really bothers to "know" these days?  Hugs to you dear lady!

Hi Martie - I've missed you too!

Huan Yi - Yep, you've got a good chance of winning your bet because all things are possible.

Jo - Hi, my friend!  It's okay, you know.  There are lifetimes yet.

Thanks everyone!
