He hung out the yellow lantern
She lit up a gas light
Who turned you on tonight?
So round and bright
like a shinning eye
as to witness
that the mermaid on the rock
was wishing for a broken journey

The moon highlights all mysterious things, especially love by the seaside.
Wonderful dreamscape.

to know a mermaids wish is to see her hands shake out of water, and know that her only wish then is the wish undone...beautiful poem....bye 4 now, JAC
