A rose, A butterfly and rain to come by

~*~ A rose, A butterfly and rain to come by~*~

Once I was a rose...this gave me a cause,
You see, to sit silently
And wait for thee
To wait for the steps you'd make
And how my heart would shake
To see if your tender touch, would mean so much
If you could ever really tend me, or just leave me to be

Now…I am a butterfly
My wings colored and high, I utter this with a sigh
For in a cocoon you want me to be, and remain eternally
Or else I'd be banished from your regal majesty
As you fail to see, the wings and colors of me

At times, I am the rain
Sought, brought, fought and caught
With humble modesty
As you pray, For me to come every day
For me to stay
But once caught ,you care not
If there would be a drought

Never let the rain dampen your beautiful wings!

~ and remember, once a rose ~ always a rose! Even the rain makes the scent of a rose more fragrant!
