Within Those Eyes

It only took one look,
into those adorable eyes.

I could feel the pull to you,
it was so natural.

One almost gone and leaving an empty place,
another coming with unconditional love to give.

The Heart is such and amazing place,
it requires so many things.

It is within those eyes,
that fills a missing space.

i know those eyes

they were (in order of favorite color)
blue, brown hazel and green

Indeed the heart is an amazing thing and you have captured the essence of that fact amazingly here. And the eyes, yes....they hold so much. Nicely done, ladylisa.

Thank you for the replies. This poem is about my son growing up and leaving the nest and the space left behind, and the puppy that has melted my heart and helping me deal with the empty nest syndrome.
