.

In the lambent light
Off Frankfort Michigan
Water ripples in shadows
Of final green and blue

With purple keels
The late summer clouds
Drift slowly across the sky

Toward the West
Our wooden boat
With sails unfurled
To catch what little breeze

As the sun goes down
And perhaps a dream
To outlast the end of time

.

VERY fine!

I am especially fond of the ending:

"As the sun goes down
And perhaps a dream
To outlast the end of time"

sustained applause!!

It is wonderful to see the poet's physiognomy!

A nocturne, well played out. ~ a pensive and lyrical piece with alluring ambiance.

Love & Light,
EA
