The hands lift into spirit
to touch, to stroke, caress
and manipulate a clearing
of untenable intrusions
within the human frame.

Heart beats in empathy;
take from it what you need
for love to give to love
the furtherance of life.

It’s a plea, a cry, a need to see
love can work a miracle
and yet decreed there has to be
a time to say goodbye.

The system turns in clockwise time
organised and to a plan
and love must honour life’s design
though tears flow down the cheeks
at its far too soon banishment
from lands here and afar.

The hands lift into spirit
and leave in prayer-like mode
for me, for you, for lovers true
who deserve a miracle!
