Heart splinters and typed words blur as I read your terse little note
I cannot hear beyond the screams that roar from my silent throat

Rage and grief struggle for control with me the unwilling pawn
Mission: Destroy my sanity now that your love’s been withdrawn

What did I do? How did I fail? Why did you give no warning?
Was I so blind, did I deserve this nosedive into mourning?

Shards of dreams mutilate my skin as I crumble to the floor
No pain is greater than knowing you won’t be back any more.

Many thanks to Magnus for the inspiration his title provided this morning *S* /pip/Forum104/HTML/000721.html  I came to read... and got a bit side-tracked. *S*

I have asked myself these very same questions.  Sometimes the failure does not lie within us sweet lady, sometimes it is something inside of them.  I felt this, Suthern.

after a fall I get back up,
move on 'cause the past is the past and theres no tomorrow if remaining in still waters while the river flows on ~dsmith

Very vivid!  You express the magnitude of implosion so so well!

  Take care, my suthern friend.

Gentle Lady: I always take the blame, though. *S* Thank you so much!!!

Magnus: Thank you, my friend... I hope you don't mind me borrowing your words. *S* My muse needed to have a fire lit under her. *G*

serenity: Could be because I've been there, done that, bought the t-shirt? LOL Thank you so much, dear lady... and... you, too. *S*

miscellanea: Thank you so much!!! You make me smile... and I appreciate the gift! *S*

well, you must know that coming from one who has actually imploded before, my comment has to bear more weight that others...no pun intended at the stage (and weight) of life...lol...

Suthern One ~

I hadn't seen you around for awhile so I went looking for your last post and I found this powerfully implosive write!

Magnus Poetry, can often be a source of inspire for fellow poets ~ and this, m'dear, is a fine example of where that inspiration can lead!

As I read in one of the replies that you wrote, you've been there and done that and have worn the T-shirt!

Little triggers (such as Barry's poem)can open the floodgates to a lot of emotion that we have kept bottled up inside. You emote with the best of them!

May your next T-shirt have a big happy face on it!

Love to you, Dear Belle,

Linda

Gracious.  This one made me bite my lip--the rhyme adds to the feeling.  The picture is painted in strong colors.
