Satisfied

Leaving the door ajar

Amtrak takes thoughts onboard
Orange visions paint the brain
It's all about slaves to the harvest
And whatever we give to gravity

Lights sing horoscopes with question marks
an experiment under a microscope
Smoking fragments in a void,
presently unoccupied
waiting....
Hungry moments
plead excitedly,
Its time to get going
time to go...

Lagging behind becomes indecent
I release the weights, sinking to the bottom
To a place of water gathering ivy
With mysterious eyes
bits of bread dripping
From swollen arms

How does He do that?

Violins inhabit my heartbeat
Like a skyscraper's elevator
What sights and sounds as we rise
Falling into His Landscape,
No longer afraid of heights

The symphony has transfixed
Somersaulting as I bite my lip
Cradled by a kiss,
a kiss of scented lotion
almonds and rose petals...

For a moment my voice shudders
Murmuring blue nights of starving art
He shrugs his shoulders
while lighting candles
They become impressions of hued glass
There I am
a vagabond, not yet
Sensed or felt
but I know that sounds
call
oh yes, I've heard it before

And I fell
unto this enchantment
affection
Where life turns over smiling
handing me fibers of woven silk
I look
at the tapestry
and there, woven right into
the center
is my soul
yepp, there I am

Understanding the bootlaces of things
I write a note, attaching it to my body
It reads, My Wings Are Closed!
Still poised on a river bank,
reading every drop
I am not sad
with you in mind
And realize every single moment
is a lover
climbing, and somehow,
someway,
I know I'm home

I hear someone yell 'All Aboard'

that lonely yearning for something more
is gone...
there is no desire to purchase a ticket
I'm home

Interesting ‘write’!

I am particularly fond of:

“It's all about slaves to the harvest
And whatever we give to gravity”;

“Smoking fragments in a void”;

“I write a note, attaching it to my body
It reads, My Wings Are Closed!”;

“that lonely yearning for something more’

Applause!

Hi, Lee!

I loved how you ended this poem!
"I know I'm home

I hear someone yell 'All Aboard'

that lonely yearning for something more
is gone...
there is no desire to purchase a ticket
I'm home"

~ "Satisfied", indeed!

Home is where the heart is! ~ Inside yourself! No train can take you there!

Love to you!
Linda

Oh such yearning caught within these phrases but yet also the significance of knowing where your home truly is. Nice write
