       Quicksilver Nights

I fall…to sleep…
on quicksilver nights,
(under a pensive, halo-wispy
  Summer moon)
with the relentless melancholy
of the latter-day wise…
to awake from dark, delicious
  dreams
that taste of Autumn’s
  rainbow-embers,
flaming in immense and
  windy spaces
of high-country serenity,
with an embryous faith
in love's new dawn!

"halo-wispy" and "latter-day wise"
but especially
"dark, delicious
  dreams"
Delightful phrases, as always.
To sleep, perchance...

Read and re-read, the circular choreography and motion of this poem creates a different focus from some you've posted. This aspect of the work intrigues beyond the poem's fine words. It mirrors the season; it feels like transformation. Beautifully written, and greatly enjoyed. (For the dancers out there, doesn't the choreography read like a collaboration between Tharp, Duncan and Lubavitch?) Poet, you are sooo good!
