Of Brain and Wind
(Lagenaria siceraria)

Some speak their mind
words which some think
better the smell of dirty feet.
Oh, what horrid stink…

Some speak as champions
who have won the day
supposing themselves not made of clay.
Oh, expiators of your fellow companions…
Deal mercifully with intolerant mortals:
saplings strewn from the ash heap of reality,
mere flesh and bone, one of whom qualities evades,
whose brain is but mostly a hollow gourd…
Where the whirlwind is free for the reaper,
and echoes of failure are but reward.

Chaos can be explained in theories and wistful moods,
if only the speaker would stop to listen to disorder.
None the less election time near,
blindly bought by each side to win
by brain, and a lot of wind…

Ms. Angel:
You always bring that cute smile of yours to mind when I read your replies.
And you are always too kind with your words.

Magnus:
Thank you for taking the time to read.  I do appreciate your comments, always.

Iliana:
You are always to the point and honest, and way too kind.

Thank you very much!

JL
