you have learned your lessons now
from being an ocean so long
and wearing out your welcome
at coves and shorelines
with too much surge

now you ebb and flow some
and it is lovely
like teasing the edges
of a fragile sided whisper
with just eyes and not hands

now your art is a dance
not an overdose of words
being pushed with hungry hands
by a panther that hurries
but more a sigh of dreams

slipping down the mind
like seeping nectar
when one sleeps nude
not knowing their face is used
by the night for tattooing

you are sun and flowers now

oh, making me homesick for the coast again
for jetties and coves,
the ebb and flow
of eons of life-stories

Dark~ I took this one quite personally.
It is as though you know me.  That is
the mark of a true artist, isn't it?
You are truly an artist, the way you touch.

This was absolutely lovely!  I think I have enjoyed this the most of anything you have ever written.  Living on the ocean, this just soothed the soul.
