of Depression

Enter the dark and dankness of my mind,
Shuffle stacks of thoughts scrawled on paper lines,
Flip page after page of depression’s rage,
No pictures adorn the bleak narrative,
Dark ink, dark words of dark images give
The continual stain of endless pain.
How can this be seen by the soft feeling,
Can those of compassion hope of dealing
With words of sadness and such near madness.
Just close this battered book and walk away
Place back on the shelf and hope it will stay.

ah but I have found, (through much trial and error) that when one book closes, we often open another and also that after the darkness~ comes the light.  Well done Proff.

~sigh~ keeping a full shelf
offers one the chance to choose
which book suits the moment

Thank you, Cpat Hair,
A darker quality had often been used to describe me,
Pleased you liked the words.

Thank you, kasey191,
To find beauty in my words is high praise

Thank you, Midnitesun,
I have many black covered books on my shelves
Seems sadness suits me

Thank you, vandana,
For taking the time to read and respond
