Between the Lines

Compromising in thought,
searching for the sunset,
edging dreams
seemless in their wake
takes more "art of"
than the living of reflections.

Masquerading in style,
secrets tunneling the need
change the yield
that pains the heart,
as a Good Morning arises unspoken
but seen beyond a glance.

Pretending "to be or not to be"
is a question strolling the mind,
resisting the hold
that strikes the truth
seeding a dream
that may or may not be.

The first time may be the last time,
a rare moment when
perfection is treasured
to keep for those days
when through my words
you see the sheerness of my heart.

John, it is not often I get a response from you...and I treasure this one

Thank you Donna, I am just trying to survive the summer heat and the beauty of this breeze of a day.
