As an eclipse
Of the sun

The absolute naught
Of everything

It walks across
The face of all

And says
Hello

The touch you express is unyielding.
Well written.

It makes one realize just how small we really are in the total scheme of all things.  Very well done John, this is surely my favorite of yours.

It's a hello
that is eternally unwelcome.
It needs to simply say nothing at all

and just go away.

Thank you, John.

This poem says it all. I know, cancer said "hello" to my family.

I don't know how I missed this, John~~ maybe it is still too soon for me to understand the "why" of cancer.

IS CANcer "the absolute naught of everything"?

To me the structure of a cancer-cell seems rather superior

Superbly expressed.  I disagree with Kalle.  As something that reduces cells to naught, it becomes what it "creates"/desecrates.

Any one who has watched a loved one die of cancer cares not a fig for the "superior" structure of a cancar cell.

I have seen a relative of mine die of cancer.

But it eats away only the flesh, not the soul
