 Sweet Contentment ~ Linda L. Dowd ~ Stars were glowing in the heavens, like candles burning in the night. An owl winged the span of sky, lit by Selene’s goddess light. Night chorals of summer insects, resonated with my soul, While faintly in the distance, I could hear a church bell toll. The aroma of wild grasses, and fresh air from off the lake, Were renewing and up-lifting, ~ Stirring senses to awake. ~*~ Sweet contentment filled my being, as I contemplated all. ~ Enjoying the last of summer, as I awaited coming fall. In Divine time, all will be revealed. ~ Linda L. Dowd |
