There stands within this image in my mind
a vision not at all the worse for wear,
it looks to be so easy on the eye
untarnished and untouched by passing time.

Perhaps you've such an image of your own,
that which seems bathed by some unearthly light,
a source of comfort framed against the dark,
a constant in an ever changing world.

Without this image I'd be at a loss
and surely'd have no need for pen nor pad.
It guides my hand with purpose even now,
a focal point in which to lose ones' self

and therefore add dimension to the whole,
so speaks to me the image of my muse.

A very pleasant muse, indeed.
