The Rose

I'm going to visit the
Department of Love and Understanding,
some questions about love I have in mind,
perhaps they have knowledgable workers
and some clear answers I will find.
I'll go there on a Monday morning,
get in line with all the rest.
Perhaps they can help me end my misery
and put me on the road to happiness.
Now that I'm in line at the
Department of Love and Understanding,
sad faces everywhere I do see,
it seems like many don't understand love,
many have failed in love just like me.
We all had similar storys
of a love that had gone bad,
and as we shared storys of
disappointments and heartbreaks
we all felt a little sad.
But here among these kindred spirits
we shared a truth that only lovers know,
that even though the ones we love have departed,
parts of love still live on within our souls.

"Its the heart afraid of breaking,
that never learns to dance"..."The Rose"
sung by Westlife on "The Love Album"

For my honey,
that has helped me
as I learn of love
and understanding.

Men who want to learn about love and understanding, become the most understanding lovers!

May your life be rife with love and roses!

It would seem, in your sweet and simple verse, you have said so well how from sadness blooms happiness, with just the touch of an attentive hand.
