Lost Love’s Tyrannical Despair

In that timeless void
that hangs between
all acts and intentions,
when evening paints a world
  of endless sky,
in frivolous-black lines and dots,
   (and silvered spots)
like a fritillary twilight-butterfly
flittering away with our dreams
  and memories,
beyond the hope and whispers
  of eternity,
it is then we come to clearly ‘know’
the overwhelming NOTHING
which we truly ‘understand’
of lost love’s tyrannical despair
or the star-streamed web
of Time’s immensity
and Life's uncertainties,
in all the dwindling hours
before a timid dawn!

My spirit will rise
above the sea~
There will be no drowning
of my soul or me~

You have the uncanny ability to tap into the space between to and fro ~ tick and tock ~ and between beats of a despairing heart.

... and also

"In that timeless void
that hangs between
all acts and intentions,"

Grinning here, for in spite of understanding
  "tyrannical despair
I see the butterfly wings,
and think of all the special glue it takes
to affix an egg to a leaf.....

This flowed like a river, building all the way to the end.
Great introspection, strong tone.

A powerful and emotional write.

Especially:

"In that timeless void
that hangs between
all acts and intentions,"

and:

"flittering away with our dreams
  and memories,
beyond the hope and whispers
  of eternity,
it is then we come to clearly ‘know’
the overwhelming NOTHING
which we truly ‘understand’
of lost love’s tyrannical despair
or the star-streamed web
of Time’s immensity
and Life's uncertainties,"

True, Poet, and so well said.
