still
you tongue tie
and twist
this heart of mine
tighter ‘round
where it’s always been

oh still
and then
this damn smile
that I can’t erase

do you know?
no one has ever
or ever will
take your place

first
in my heart of hearts
as then
still….
yes
you always will

leave me weak
in the wake
of butterflies
~I don’t make excuses
I won’t apologize~

you are
still….
my sweetest
of sighs

Know for a fact, that if you lose someone special, just anyone won't replace them, it takes someone just as special to fill the empty place in your heart...Still the ones that are the most special are the ones that stay with you...James

fine poem!

[can any two people possibly manage to 'stay

  'externalities' (ever-increasing pressures
placed on relationships) of the "Runaway
    American Dream"?!]

Applause for this 'write'!

So taking anything out to emphasis what I like most was like dismantling something I love. I just couldn't do it. I love your writes and then you go and provide an inspiring image and just create the best of reading pleasure a diehard romantic could ever hope for.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

So heart felt and full of love here Sea, you tied my heart in a knot for a moment by the sadness and undid it again by your memory of love, thanks for sharing my friend.

"yes

leave me weak
in the wake
of butterflies"

what a wonderful expression...
I can feel the static.
And awesome picture, speaking of seascapes..

I love this! *S* The title drew me in... and I'm so glad it did... Your person gave you a smile... your words (and my memories) put one on my face, too. *S*

What partner would not love to read or here
those words whispered to them...Something
that would last a lifetime.  An excellent
write, thanx Susan.
