Blue Heaven
~ Linda L. Dowd ~

Images misty, from long ago,
flood my soul with indigo.
Memories of far distant place,
visions of a Smiling Face
Skies of pink and violet hues,
vast and grand, vista views.
Homes of domes of crystals clear,
a place of joy and not of fear.
Colors vivid beyond compare,
glorious flowers everywhere.
A vibrant world of sounds and sights,
and radiant Beings of rainbow Lights.
Learning, laughter, where all is leaven,
fill the world of our Blue Heaven.
As one would wish ~ ‘twould thence come true,
for what one seeks, is there for you.
Life's a river ~ flowing slowly,
where all is pure and all is Holy.
Grace and beauty,~ honor, love,
abound within our Home Above.
I long to be among the stars,
back to the home that once was ours.
Come hold my hand and dream as one,
of our birth home beyond the Sun

.

“We are borne of star dust,
and to the stars we shall one day return.”
~ Linda L. Dowd

Alright. If there's anything that makes me sick it's poetic mutual admiration societies. So I'm assuming you want some constructive criticism. This poem is a heavenly kind of vision which is great. There certainly are lots of famous ones out there. But in order to be a beautiful heavenly vision it has to flow and it has to make sense. Indigo is blue...a sad colour...but we forgive you for that as your writing about a Blue Heaven. Memories of far distant place...a little disjointed and a stretch when coupled with the next line. Vast and grand, Vista views?? now that's awkward and trips over itself. As does Homes of domes of...no. This is a nice vision obviously from the heart. It just needs a little work. It's not enough to write of beauty one has to write beautifully to achieve the effect you desire.

Roysie ~

I had to laugh at your rather terse response to my 'heavenly' poem. It appears that you are a very literal individual and are not comfortable with the concept of poetic licence.

However. it does please me that you appreciate the "beauty" of which I was writing ~ even though you have no appreciation of how I wrote it.

we all bring our own experience to a poem
for me, blue is the "perfect" color
In the Seven Energy Centers indigo indicates the third eye which allows visions

beautiful work Linda Angel
with a great deal of meaning for me

Lady Kate ~

I concur that we all "bring our own experience to a poem" and it pleases me that you understood my use of the colour indigo.

Thank you for your thoughtful comments.

beauty lives in the eyes of the beholder...

Linda, your a gem, an ocean full of love and a vision of a great universal adoration, for all....

Now, who the heck is this guy Roy, and who is he to leave such a rude display of words.

My aunt was a writer and editor...once someone left me sour words about my poems which hurt me so...and my poems were very bad...hehe, then, my aunt told me, keep writing dear...and those that leave nasty critiques are way to clouded to see, that to each his own...and to encourage is wise and pure....someone who leaves nasty words or tries to put you down, just may be afraid of your potential...and you want to nurture potential....not knock it down....so there you have it...my auntie was a darn good sport....

so, this guy walks into PIP and pretends to be able to read your heart and mind...critique you?  I think not

You are a master...Period....nuff said!!!

Love you
Lee J.

Lee ~

You have a fiery, passionate soul and you are a  valiant defender of the so-called 'underdog' ~ and that's one of the things that I admire about you! You make either an admirable friend or an admirable opponent ~ and I am very happy to have you as a friend! lol

Love to you,
Linda
