Is it the attraction of power
that leads me in my quest
for strength from women
such as Aphrodite

while learning from
sunlit goddesses
of the Amazon
who savor their prowess
wielding their seduction,
leaving men hopeless
in paths of destruction?

What man does not cleave
to the breast of Eve,
hopelessly captive,
while being held
captive unknowingly..

Do I seek
because I am so weak
or only so that I might find
what already lies dormant
beneath, and below
like the Atlantans
remaining hidden
in depths unknown?

But, today I am tired
and I am weary

Would Morpheus then cradle me
in clouds of dream sleep?

Perhaps, the chariots of the Gods
would pick me up,
wisp me into the heavens
and allow sweet rest upon
the clouds of Mount Olympus
so that I might this day
look down upon amber valleys

and with contentment,

smile,

with sigh.

well done.... indeed well done...

the form suits you well and the content..the introspective kind I am fond of.. the what is inside..and the metaphors for more complicated things.... we dream..

enjoyed ma'am.... a great deal

to second an above comment - this is a sigh within itself. Beautiful!

I am nothing special...and my name will soon be forgotten, but I've loved another with all my heart and soul, and to me,this has always been enough.~N.S

Thank you for letting me peek into the window of your introspection.  I see such beauty within.
