and now forsaken,
the word for heart,
stills at my throat
in braided gold links,
tomorrow is nothing
but a tremor in my voice,
the minuets ache of loss
as i turn soft steps
back into night, laying
the dark lilies of sorrow
along the path,
my eyes, annealed
with tears, the acoustics of red,

recall the tenderness of your hands
combing the dark weeds of my hair,
and sleeping in the curve of your body,
I can still conjure the sighs
of midnight content,
but sadly, cannot say the words,
love, now a handful of rocks
tossed against a window,
the wingbeat of summer,
and your hands still,
not a shiver, but a trespass
through the deep drough
as I dream, and part
from part, the soul
falls in twain,

and I am stripped bare,
my heart heaves up curses,
coughing sand in the parched heat
of sunlight, and if the heart
must break, then let it break open
and spill out hot,
over the cradle of dreams
we have cast upon our lyric waters,
death, stay your phantoms
another hour, and in one last glimpse,
I close my eyes
against the everlasting light,
and begin the descent
into the days' familiar black-out.

You make my throat close with emotion... no words can escape... but still I whisper... a soft wow. *S* Superb work!

Most times when I read you I read the female half of Cpat...

was that your intention?

but I'm sure you'll thank me for such a compliment.

either way the writing is as it always has been...above and beyond.

This is beautiful.  Achingly sad.

the female half of me??
1. I can't hold a candle to Belle's talent with words and phrasing
2. ** looks down **  nope, not the bottom half..
3.  ** looks in the mirror ** nope..I'd be one ugly female...

belle... ma;am.. the words are always a joy to read..  the talent as I have said, something to envy, and I have from time to time envied the skill ...

please don't take ofense to being compared to the female half of me.... I'm sure they mean it as a compliment... not a way to poke at you with a stick...
