Face Up

I had jumped in deep
to the shallow side of you
where I found my life in your eyes
summed up in two short lines
as if I was a review in a one store
town newspaper that only published
once a month folded around
insignificance left at the door casual
you had not bothered to even open
I do believe you missed the best
story hidden between the lines
on the page that said I was beautiful
and worth a second glance fixed
but your eyes can only see in distance
instead of straight in front of you
and it is not for me to judge for
you are much better at it than I
but speaking classified, true beauty
is so much more than a face

Wow, this rocks!
And you are indeed, so much more than the beautiful face we see.

Indeed it is much more Helen, and you dear lady are not only beautiful outside, but inside also.

Very clever play on words and truly loved the theme of this.  One of your best ever.

  Hugs to you sweetie.

have to agree with Donna
one of your best ever
the words are woven over and under
in and out
to make whole cloth
perfectly!

Oh, wow... to say this is one of your best is really saying something because your work is always a treat to read... but you write a truth here that I wish so much more would heed... fantastic!!

Much more indeed , its whats on the inside that counts
