This moment is scented heavily
with the voice of yesterday;

still running through my mind
are these images of palms pressed
when indigo nights bled into amber mornings
and the sun glinted between drawn curtains
splashed crossed golden hair
where in peace, you slept.

I could not bare to wake you
as I watched the rise and fall
of your breath soft in dreams

and I sighed with whisper
     morning shall wait.

Sleep deep now, my love
where the shadows bind us
in yesterday's hold
and I will be content
to lie with head resting
upon strong tan shoulder

until you awake
and morning then arrives

shattering the silence

of memories.

If the sun never rises
I want to go down in flames
I want the last thing I hear
to be you whisperin' my name.
Each moment together
is time that we borrow
so hold me tight
and love me like
there's no tomorrow.

an intriguing piece... well done ma;am... it juxtaposes quite well.. the wait..and the patience.. with the underlying sense of desire..of a quiet urgency..

Indigo is the color on the spectrum between about 450 and 420 nm in wavelength, placing it between blue and violet.

Ah... what respite from reality those retreats into memories give us! *S* Beautiful work!

yanno I have to smile every
time I see your name, as

Gloom, thank you for taking the time
to pop in and rest your eyes on my meager words for a few moments.
